DESCRIPTION ➡️ At the QSP Summit 2017, we set up an engaging Brand Activation booth with the primary goal of attracting new clients. Through an interactive game, we invited attendees to join us in a fun-filled experience that not only showcased our brand but also created memorable interactions. The booth successfully generated interest and fostered connections, making it a standout presence at the marketing summit.

About

As a creative project manager for a recent Brand Activation Agency, Alcateia, we were excited to accept the challenge of exhibiting at the prestigious QSP Summitbut we knew we needed to stand out in a sea of cutting-edge technology and innovation.

▶️ QSP Summit is a major marketing and advertising event in Portugal, gathering industry leaders and professionals for knowledge sharing and networking. It offers a platform for showcasing the latest marketing trends and innovations.

Problem statement

We faced a daunting challenge: how to be noticed among the impressive booths and advanced technologies, surrounded by pioneering marketing and technology companies at QSP Summit. 

While we needed to attract new B2B clients, we were also constrained by a limited budget. Our solution had to be engaging and captivating, while remaining true to the heart of our brand activation philosophy.

Crafting an Engaging Brand Activation Booth

Approach

The Interactive Game Ice-break

To achieve our goal, we developed a simple yet highly effective interactive game in collaboration with Solid-IT and IPCA.
We delved deep into the realms of creativity and research, and we realized that amidst the digital frenzy, the true magic lies in the power of human connection

We sought an unconventional and immersive approach - a way to create genuine interactions that would leave lasting impressions, and could provide us our ice-break moment to interact with lead clients.

Solution

An interactive and collaborative experience 

 Inspired by the vibrant energy of cosmopolitan cities, we crafted a mesmerizing virtual forest environment. But what made it truly special was the "serious game" we designed. 

Makey Makey, the secret hardware to connect human touch with the screen.

It required two participants to work together, controlling a lovable wolf avatar using a hidden Makey Makey kit that was connecting 2 metal wolves to the screen. 

But here's the twist: they had to physically help the wolf jump

The game's unique interaction, where a member of the audience physically helped the wolf jump, sparked curiosity and incredulity among passers-by, resulting in a significant volume of participants and interested individuals eager to learn more about our company.

To assist the avatar wolf in jumping, we had to touch our hands while holding the metal wolf.

The magic of the interactive game didn't end with the play; it was a gateway to meaningful conversations. 

As participants signed up with an email, and selected their avatars, we seized the opportunity to introduce ourselves, share our pitch, and invite them to stay connected.

Results

Building Connections and Fostering Potential Collaborations

The impact was undeniable. Our booth became a magnet. The word-of-mouth buzz was electrifying - an experience that you just had to be a part of! Soon, a crowd gathered, and our approach ignited curiosity and incredulity, drawing in a diverse audience eager to learn more about our company.

It wasn't about technology, it was about fostering meaningful interactions.

In the end, it was the simplicity of human connection that set us apart. Amidst the dazzling displays of technology, we proved that genuine engagement is the essence of any successful brand activation.

Connecting beyond QSP Summit

After the fair, we followed up with each participant, forwarding our captivating pitch deck, cementing our position as a creative brand activation studio ready to embark on transformative journeys with new clients.

The connections we made during QSP Summit blossomed into fruitful collaborations. Our innovative approach had opened doors to new business opportunities, and we were humbled by the response.

Crafting an Urban Metropolis

In addition to our engaging Brand Activation booth, we had the exciting opportunity to design and produce the stage decoration for the main stage at QSP Summit

Inspired by the vibrant and cosmopolitan life of major global cities, our creative vision aimed to leave a lasting impact on the audience. 

The stage design incorporated elements that showcased the dynamism of city life, capturing the essence of innovation and creativity that the event sought to celebrate. 

With a captivating stage presence, we contributed to the overall atmosphere of the summit, elevating the experience for both speakers and attendees.
